A Six-Week Course for Families of Children with Special Needs

We are currently accepting registrations for the upcoming sessions of the Give and Take Course. Each course will run 6 weeks. Classes will be held from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Free on-site childcare is provided (limited spaces are available). Sibshops give brothers and sisters of children with special needs an opportunity to meet other siblings in a relaxed, recreational setting. It gives siblings the chance to explore their feelings in creative, light, and fun ways.
Thenext Sibshops class (for children ages 8-13) of 2010 will be held on Friday, February 12th from 6-9 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cary. To register your child for the class please contact Jodi at (919) 662-4600, ext. 257 or email.

This issue contains information about our upcoming events including Cookies and Cocoa with Santa for Children with Special Needs, our Give and Take series, Holland Tour Group (support group) meetings and Sibshop classes for 2010.
Cookies and Cocoa with Santa for Children with Special Needs and their families. 1:00-4:00pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC. Have your picture taken with Santa, play games, make crafts and enjoy treats. The event is free and no reservations are required. Family Support Network of Wake County is in need of volunteers to assist during our 13th annual Cookies and Cocoa with Santa for Children with Special Needs which will be held on Saturday, December 5th. Volunteers are needed to assist with crafts and games and to play with children while parents enjoy a cup of coffee and network with other parents. Volunteers are needed from 12:30 p.m. -4:00p.m. The event will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh.
